The Model 930 Pressure Pot is used in conjunction
with acrylic and epoxy cold mounting materials. The
pressure pot is designed to produce clearer, denser,
and less porous acrylic and epoxy mounts. After pouring
the cold mount material into the mold, the entire mold
is placed inside the Pressure Pot. The Pressure Pot is
then sealed and pressurized to between 25-30 PSI. The
Pressure Pot prevents the hardener (monomer) from
converting to a gas which would create gas bubbles.
By applying pressure, the monomer remains in a liquid
state and continues to polymerize.
